General Insurance Article - Aegon launch new service for business protection customers

Aegon UK has launched a new key person replacement service for business protection customers. The service, provided by cazden, is available throughout the lifetime of the policy, not just at the point of a claim. It comes at no extra cost and is in addition to the existing health and wellbeing service, provided by Health Assured.

 Business owners can seek support when they need it most from cazden’s business consultants on the phone from 9am to 5pm on weekdays.

 These consultants offer help and guidance on how to find replacement ‘key’ personnel by providing:
 CVs of potential candidates;
 advice and support when looking for a permanent replacement;
 support in writing job specifications, adverts and recruitment agency briefs; and
 advice, guidance and support on all aspects of employment law.

 Stephen Crosbie, Protection Director at Aegon UK, said:  “Business continuity and succession planning may not be high on the priority list for many businesses. But losing a key employee, especially one with specific credentials, could have a devastating financial effect on a business.

 “Business protection can help keep a business going should the business owner or a key employee become critically ill or die. But sometimes, financial security is only part of the solution. People are key to the success of most businesses.

 “Talent and experience of key business people can be hard to replace and the process can be overwhelming and time-consuming. This new service can provide practical help and support to business owners who need to replace key people in their business – either temporarily or on a permanent basis. They can also provide advice and guidance on all aspects of employment law.”
