General Insurance Article - Agencyport and clients win ACORD awards

Agencyport Software has been awarded the Global Reinsurance and Large Commercial Outstanding Contribution Accomplishment and the Property & Casualty Outstanding Contribution Achievement awards for its support of ACORD and its goal of improved data integrity across diverse insurance platforms and partners.

Agencyport congratulates its clients, Chubb, Concord Group Insurance and Quincy Mutual Group, all of which were recognized as winners at the 19th annual ACORD Awards ceremony last week in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is the seventh consecutive year that Agencyport projects have won ACORD Awards.

The Most Compelling Case Study Award and the Property & Casualty Outstanding Contribution Accomplishment Award recognised Concord Group Insurance for implementing ACORD Standard Messaging and/or making a significant contribution to the development of ACORD Standards. Concord implemented real-time rating, submission and endorsement processing with the support of Agencyport’s AgencyConnect solution. In addition, Concord implemented a new agent portal, E-Quote, using Agencyport’s AgencyPortal. Giving agents the ability to securely leverage third party data sources, E-Quote has provided Concord Group Insurance with another access point for agent quoting and self-service.

Chubb obtained the Early Adopter Award-AWSP for their integration with Vertafore using Agencyport’s Connect5 solution. This award emphasizes ACORD’s objective to promote technical interoperability by recognising companies that develop robust web services and use ACORD's AWSP 2.0 standard to define such information as well as guide the use of protocols for transporting XML messages.

In addition, Quincy Mutual Group was provided with the Property & Casualty Straight through Process of Data Award and the Most Compelling Case Study Award for its implementation of real-time rating, submission and inquiry processing. Agencyport’s AgencyConnect, a complete agency interface solution, supported Quincy Mutual’s efforts to embrace the industry-wide real-time initiative. It responded to the needs of its agents to transform complex agency interfaces into one stream of normalised data to offer a true real-time, round trip experience.

“We are pleased and proud that three of our clients have once again been recognised by ACORD for their great work,” said Steve Hauck, co-ceo of Agencyport Software. “ACORD is a pillar of our industry. To work closely with its members and our clients to further its mission is an honour.”
