Aon Risk Solutions, the global risk management and insurance brokerage business of Aon Corporation (NYSE: AON), today announced the appointment of Clyde Ebanks to chief operating officer of the Aon Global Client Network and Bruce Wineman to Aon Global Client Network senior managing director for the U.S. and Canada. With a team of more than 1,200 professionals, the Aon Global Client Network is unsurpassed in geographic breadth and depth of talent and specializes in providing risk management advice and delivering superior service to multinational clients in every segment.
"Clyde and Bruce have served on the network's global management team for many years, providing vital support and guidance for the team while continuing in their important client-facing roles and contributing to many developments," said Chris Baudouin, chief executive officer of Aon Global Client Network. "I am thrilled to welcome them to these well-earned positions as we work to increase the value of the Aon Global Client Network as an integral component of Aon Risk Solutions' proposition for clients and colleagues."
Ebanks will partner with Baudouin to build the network's operations team. With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Ebanks has worked on the underwriting and brokerage sides and provided counsel to all sizes of firms, ranging from the largest international clients with complex worldwide risks to organizations in their earliest phases of international development. Prior to his current position, Clyde led multiple regions and offices and served as COO of the network in the U.S., sat on the network's global advisory committee and collaborated with many Aon Risk Solutions practices and disciplines on technical and operational matters.
Baudouin stated, "Clyde's creativity demonstrated by the thoughtful risk solutions he develops for our clients, combined with his experience in global business, will be invaluable to the entire Aon Global Client Network."
Ebanks will continue to partner with groups across Aon to create enhanced synergies and will interface with markets to ensure the network's operational and financial stability.
After 30 years of experience on both the insurer and brokerage sides of the industry, including more than 20 with Aon, Wineman was previously co-chief operating officer for the Western region of the U.S. for the Aon Global Client Network and served on the global advisory committee during his earlier deployment to London as director of Europe for the network. He works with clients in a wide variety of industries, including technology, mining, transportation, chemical and retail, and specializes in consulting for financial institutions' infrastructure projects throughout the world.
"Bruce's approach to culturally diverse accounts and his ability to think both globally and locally will serve him perfectly in this role," added Baudouin.
Wineman will be based in New York and Ebanks will remain in Chicago.
