Pensions - Articles - Aviva becomes first AE GPP provider to appear on tPR website

Aviva has been confirmed as the first auto-enrolment Group Personal Pension (GPP) provider that will feature on The Pension Regulator (TPR) website.

Until now, only master trust pension providers*, which are open to businesses of all sizes, were directly featured and named on the webpage offering information on different workplace pension providers. Now, Aviva - the largest provider of workplace pensions in the UK – will be the first GPP provider to feature on the updated list.

Aviva is committed to helping companies of all sizes – including micro employers - comply with the auto-enrolment obligations. There are still 1.4m small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) due to set up a workplace pension between now and 2018.

Andy Beswick, Managing Director of Business Solutions at Aviva, said: “Being approved for The Pension Regulator website is really significant for us. It is often one of the first places that small business owners go when they are starting their auto-enrolment journey. Choice in the market is important, as is helping employers understand the full range of options. The changes being made make this easier and it means businesses can have a clearer picture of all the options they have.

“The Pension Regulator has recognised that Aviva can set up workplace pensions for businesses of all sizes and I am delighted that we will now feature on their website.

“Aviva is a trusted brand and we have long history of providing work place pensions. It’s important that all business owners approaching auto-enrolment know that we are here to help them.”
