Barnett Waddingham has appointed experienced consultant, Alpesh Patel to work with a growing client base across general insurance services.

 As a core element of Barnett Waddingham, Alpesh joins the insurance consulting practice to provide advice and support to general insurance clients with their actuarial and risk management needs. He has a particular interest in using data visualisation as a way to facilitate Board engagement and increase understanding. He is currently taking part in the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries Certificate in Data Science programme.

 With a breadth of experience in the general insurance industry, Alpesh was previously at Neon Managing Agent where he led the internal model validation exercises and delivered the risk management framework. His experience across capital modelling and reserving, both at a regulator and in-house, enables him to understand the needs of his clients and work with them to develop tailor-made solutions that meet regulatory requirements.
