Pensions - Articles - Capita hired by Brewer for pensions services

Capita’s employee benefits business has today announced a five-year contract to provide pensions administration services to the Scottish & Newcastle Pension Plan, the closed DB scheme for HEINEKEN in the UK. In addition to scheme administration, Capita will provide the trustee with scheme accounting, pensioner payroll services and carry out a comprehensive data rectification project.

The closed DB scheme has over 41,000 members and will be administered from Capita’s Sheffield office. The contract was awarded following a full competitive tender process.

Carol Young, Pension Manager at HEINEKEN in the UK, said: “After a comprehensive process, the trustee chose Capita because they offered the best combination of quality of service and value for money for us and our scheme members.”

Nick Burns, Chief Executive at Capita Employee Benefits, commented: “We look forward to working in partnership with the trustee and HEINEKEN in the UK to complete the data rectification project on schedule and develop the ongoing service for the benefit of scheme members.”
