General Insurance Article - Collinson Group strengthens with two senior hires


 Collinson Group has announced the appointment of Lawrence Watts as Business Development Director for Intana and Astrenska, the group’s new assistance and underwriting divisions, and Denise Groom as Head of Market and Business Development for claims and medical assistance - health.

 Lawrence joins with fifteen years of experience, most recently from Aviva where he held a senior business development role within the general insurance business. Prior to Aviva, Lawrence held senior sales positions with AXA Insurance, Lloyds TSB and E.ON.

 Reporting to David Evans, Managing Director, Insurance and Assistance, Collinson Group, Lawrence will play a key role in delivering profitable and scalable growth over the course of the next 3-5 years across both brands: Intana and Astrenska.

 Denise Groom brings twenty years of experience in the insurance and assistance industry. Prior to joining she was Regional Account Director for the insurance division across South and South East Asia at International SOS. Previous to that Denise undertook senior roles at CIGNA, Europ Assistance and BUPA.

 Reporting to Lawrence Watts, she will be significant in developing the groups’ healthcare proposition to continue to meet the needs of the ever changing international healthcare arena.
