Pensions - Articles - Covéa Insurance appoints Tim Grant to new position

Covéa Insurance today announced the appointment of Tim Grant to the newly created position of Micro SME Leader.

Tim’s most recent role was as Interim Chief Operating Officer at Professional Insurance Agents Ltd and prior to that Head of e-commerce at Dual Corporate Risks and Head of UK Distribution at Brit Insurance. In his pivotal new role at Covéa Insurance, Tim will lead the development of the company’s Micro SME strategy and will build upon the strengths of the company’s own on-line trading platform (Broker Online), its comparative quote offering (BOS+) and the products it distributes through a number of B2B platforms.

Reporting to Paul Hodgson, Director of Commercial Underwriting and Business Operations, Tim will play a key role as a member of the Commercial Lines leadership team charged with achieving the company’s strategic goals and ambitions, as Covéa Insurance seeks to double the size of its Commercial Lines business.

Tim Grant commented:This role is the perfect opportunity for me, given Covéa Insurance’s ambitious growth plans and significant investments in both people and capabilities. I’m joining a growing team, that already has real breadth in terms of market experience and technical expertise, and as Micro SME is a very dynamic market I know really well, my appointment adds a further dimension to the team’s expertise”.

Paul Hodgson concludes: “Tim has a significant market presence supported by strong relationships in the industry. He already has a track record of profitable growth in the Micro SME arena, as well as the unique skill set of bringing together market insight and relationships with experience as an insurer, MGA and broker. Tim will play a vital role in our Commercial Lines leadership team and his unique insight into the Micro SME market will be a huge asset as we look to build on an already strong base.”
