Pensions - Articles - Deloitte expands pensions advisory team with key hire

Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has expanded its corporate finance pensions advisory team with the appointment of Simon Kew.
Simon joins Deloitte with a pensions background that includes three years’ experience at the Pensions Regulator. Here, he led on some of the UK’s largest pension schemes, and acted as a key link between the regulator and government departments, including the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), and Downing Street.

Tom Partridge, Deloitte’s London head of corporate finance pensions advisory, said:

“Simon joins us at an exciting time as our national team builds on its successes across the covenant assessment and advisory market. We are actively helping trustees and sponsors of pension schemes navigate what is a very challenging and constantly evolving period for the industry. Simon’s expertise is complementary to this, and his hire is reflective of our commitment to growth in this area.”

Kew added: “Deloitte’s pension advisory business is well respected in the industry, and it is exciting to be part of such an experienced team. Its compelling approach to be both genuinely tailored and cost efficient to each client is market leading and is backed by the impressive, wider capability of Deloitte’s pension offerings. I look forward to working with the team and being a part of its growth.”
