Articles - Dominic Holmes joins Just Retirement as Development Director

Just Retirement, the specialist UK life assurance group, has announced the appointment of Dominic Holmes as Business Development Director.

He is taking over leadership of the team responsible for developing existing distribution partnerships and cultivating new referral channels across enhanced annuity, equity release and other retirement product categories. He will report to Simon Gray, Group Sales Development Director.

Dominic is a senior Life & Pensions industry professional with more than two decades' experience and expertise successfully leading distribution and marketing teams. He began his financial services career in 1990 with AEGON in a sales capacity before taking on a number of management roles at AEGON UK including Head of Sales & Distribution (Individual Pensions) for eight years until 2010 and, most recently, marketing director for the Packaged Product Propositions focusing on the workplace savings and at retirement markets.

David Cooper, Marketing and Distribution Director at Just Retirement, welcomed Dominic who is filling a vacancy left by the move of David Bitner to a new commercial role in the business.

"This is an important role and we are delighted that we have secured Dominic's expertise and experience to spearhead our partnership development team which already works closely with a number of major consumer brands," said David Cooper.

"We see huge potential for further growth from forging active, mutually beneficial relationships with organisations such as life and pensions companies, wraps and platforms and other retail brands who are keen to stake or reinforce their own presence in the retirement market."

Dominic Holmes said: "Demographic change and reforms to the advice landscape are opening up new opportunities for firms that can deliver the right solutions and service to the growing number of ‘baby boomers' as they head into retirement.

"Just Retirement has the knowledge and capability to offer a compelling partnership proposition and I am looking forward to working with a range of organisations that are keen to help themselves by helping their own customers make better choices at retirement."
