Software - e-Underwriting offers property owners’ insurance on Acturis

The new division of OIM Underwriting Limited, e-Underwriting, today announces the launch of its property owners’ insurance product on the Acturis platform, making it widely available to brokers across the UK.

Based on e-Underwriting’s key aim of providing instant ‘quotability’ through a wide underwriting footprint, brokers can obtain competitive quotes instantly for both standard and non-standard property risks through the Acturis platform, that can include cover for:

 • Single risk or mixed commercial and residential portfolios
 • Unoccupied properties
 • High risk trades/occupations

Commenting on the launch Simon Ronaldson, Sales & Marketing Director at Acturis, stated “e-Underwriting has created a very flexible product, and it quotes at an impressive level for both standard and non-standard risks. This will be most important for our brokers in the non-standard space, where often an e-trade quote request has been more likely to trigger a referral. We want our brokers to get a competitive quote each and every time and this product launch is a big step in the right direction.”

Edward Wilding, Technical Business Analyst at Acturis.
“The direction and clarity from e-Underwriting in the development phase allowed the build process to proceed swiftly; e-Underwriting’s determination to get the product to market ensured that from specification to go-live the project progressed with very few problems. We’re excited to work with them again very soon.”

Scott Banks, Director at e-Underwriting, added, “Our ability to provide cover for a wide range of risks through our auto-rating model allows brokers to access our property owners product through Acturis to better meet their clients’ needs. Our approach allows brokers to place property owners business more efficiently by removing the need to undertake time consuming referrals to underwriters.”
