 • Confused.com now offers three ‘buy now’ life insurance products: LV=, Aviva & Admiral
 • One in seven (14%) people without life insurance don’t have it only because they haven’t got round to organising it
 • Comparable ‘buy now’ technology revolutionises the way in which life insurance is sold

Traditionally taking out a life insurance policy can be seen as a long process, as it can take time to find out whether you are eligible for the life insurance cover applied for. However, Confused.com has found a solution to this by offering ‘buy now’ life insurance.

These type of products change the way in which life insurance is bought, enabling eligible customers to purchase cover instantly.

This is great news for many (14%) people who don’t have life insurance because they haven’t got round to organising it. The ability to compare products and providers – including ‘buy now’ – are essential when buying insurance. And with the introduction of ‘buy now’ technology to the life insurance arena, it has provided many customers with a new and intelligent way of comparing and simplified the purchase of life insurance.

By using this ‘buy now’ technology, which has been built and developed by Direct Life & Pensions Services Ltd, Confused.com has set a precedent by offering instant, same-day insurance to customers. Confused.com continues to lead the way in how life insurance can be purchased, now offering LV= as the third provider to launch a “buy now” product on the Confused.com panel.

LV= QuickCover is a level term product aimed at people who are comfortable and familiar with buying products online. Exclusive to Confused.com, LV= QuickCover is designed to provide a one-off cash payment of up to £300,000 in the event of a policyholder’s death or diagnosis of a terminal illness during the policy term.

Customers will just need to answer a few additional underwriting questions when they get a quote. The customer’s unique responses will then be matched against the underwriting criteria of LV=’s QuickCover insurance product to see if they are eligible to purchase their life insurance policy instantly.

Jessica Willock, head of life insurance at Confused.com says: “We are really excited to be the first and only comparison website to offer LV=’s QuickCover exclusively to our customers. We really want to make buying life insurance as hassle-free as possible, and giving the customer the option to purchase cover instantly enables us to do just that.

“By adding LV=’s QuickCover product to our panel we are giving customers more choice, and helping customers find the right life insurance policy and the right provider for their individual needs.”

“While three insurance providers on our panel currently offer this ‘buy now’ service, we hope to extend this offering, and provide customers the easiest and quickest way to buy life insurance, in order to help us fulfil the needs of our customers.”

Myles Rix, Managing Director of Protection at LV=, said:“We’re delighted to be partnering with Confused.com to offer their customers a quick, easy way to compare and buy life insurance. LV= QuickCover enables customers to set up cover in a few minutes, including on a mobile device.”
