General Insurance Article - Helvetia Group select Deloitte's XSG software


Deloitte announced that Helvetia Group has selected Deloitte's XSG economic scenario generator (ESG) software for use in the valuation of liabilities for the regulatory reporting of its business units. XSG was selected following a comprehensive evaluation process which considered a range of solutions available in the market.

 "Deloitte's XSG software provides us with powerful models and an efficient and flexible platform for the internalization of the ESG valuation scenario production process. This means that we will be able to enhance our modelling capabilities and the valuation scenario effectiveness for the wiss as well as all EU market units. With the XSG software at hand Helvetia will be able to tackle future internal and regulatory requirements" says Willi Staubi, Head of Group Actuarial Life at Helvetia Group.

 Andrew Smith, partner at Deloitte and leader of XSG development said: "Helvetia is taking action to enhance their valuation scenario modelling scenario modelling capabilities and we are delighted that they have selected Deloitte's XSG solution to support them in this regard. This reinforces XSG's position in the Swiss insurance market and demonstrates Deloitte's commitment to the development of high quality modelling software for the insurance industry"
