General Insurance Article - Hymans Robertson appoints Dave McGovern as Head of Marketing

Hymans Robertson, the independent pensions, benefits and risk consultancy, has appointed Dave McGovern as Head of Marketing. Dave joins from Scottish Widows where he helped develop its proposition in response to the pension freedoms. Previously he was Head of Retail Marketing at Standard Life as well as an independent consultant helping Fidelity deliver its fund partner programme and a direct to consumer retirement proposition.

Commenting, James Verner, Commercial Director at Hymans Robertson said:
“Dave joins the firm at a critical juncture for our industry. The introduction of freedom and choice in pensions brings challenges to the Defined Benefit (DB), Defined Contribution (DC) and wider savings markets, which we are very well placed to help clients respond to. Dave brings a wealth of experience in this space which will help us clarify our offer to these audiences, as well as support the diversification and growth of our business.”

 Dave McGovern added:
“Hymans Robertson is at the forefront of developing innovative solutions for the market, whether it’s around longevity, managing risk or providing investment or funding solutions for pension schemes. It has a reputation for exceeding client’s expectations and taking a long-term approach. I’m really excited about working with such an innovative group of people, who are passionate about delivering great outcomes for all their clients.”
