Pensions - Articles - Hymans Robertson strengthens Public Sector Team

Hymans Robertson, the UK's leading independent experts in pensions and benefits, has appointed Linda Selman as Head of Public Sector Investments and welcomes back Alison Murray as Head of Policy and Technical Development, after a brief spell with the Government Actuary’s Department. The moves add further strength and depth to Hymans Robertson’s specialist public sector team in advance of likely changes to public sector schemes post-Hutton.

Senior Investment Consultant and Partner, Linda, has over 25 years industry experience and was previously a Client Director at Baillie Gifford. She will head up a team of 12 Partners, Senior Consultants and Consultants who provide investment advice to Hymans Robertson’s forty-two LGPS clients.

A partner and actuary, Alison Murray has worked in pensions for fifteen years and has been advising exclusively on public sector pensions for over eight years. She has considerable experience presenting at LGPS conferences and seminars and will be working closely with John Wright, Head of Public Sector Pensions, to develop briefing material and support services for LGPS clients.

John Wright, Head of Public Sector Pensions at Hymans Robertson, comments:

“With the coming changes to public sector pensions it is more important than ever that schemes are prepared for and understand the impact of the reforms. Linda and Alison’s combined expertise will be hugely beneficial to our clients as we help them navigate this new era for public sector pensions.”
