Pensions - Articles - Improving adviser communication key to AXA Wealth service

Helping clients stay abreast of personal finance matters is at the heart of a ground-breaking new client e-magazine adviser service being piloted by AXA Wealth. The service is part of a new range of Professional Edge adviser support services.

The new service aims to provide valuable insight, comment and analysis on a range of current investments and pensions matters, whether the client is new or established.

Professional Edge* is working exclusively with Pro E-Newsletters**, co-owned by multi award-winning personal finance journalist Alison Steed, to offer a service that will allow advisers to electronically create a quarterly publication with tailored content specific to their region, specialism or client preference. Advisers can choose from a library of relevant articles on subjects as diverse as investments and pensions to tax and protection, all written by leading personal finance journalists.

The e-magazine provides a solution to the issue that advisers face of balancing clear, timely contact with clients and time efficiency. Research*** shows having regular communication with their IFA is one of the most highly valued services a client receives.

Philippa Gee, managing director, Philippa Gee Wealth Management, was involved in an early trial of the e-magazine: “This new service is a breath of fresh air. It allows advisers like me to give clients something more unique, informative and bespoke without incurring high costs. What I particularly value about the service is that the content is being written by well-known professional writers, meaning you can be confident that what is produced is factual and relevant to an adviser’s specialist area.”

 Key features of the service:

  •   advisers can select from a library of articles to create a bespoke e-magazine to suit their client base
  •
  •   advisers can personalise the e-magazine with their contact details, logo and business messages
  •
  •   live links are included to enable the client to access the adviser straight away
  •
  •   advisers will receive their e-magazine just 48 hours after selecting content
  •
  •   the e-magazine is formatted for viewing on iPad and iPhone and can be shared via some social networks such as Twitter and Facebook
  •
  •   advertising can be built-in to the e-magazine, including YouTube video content
  •
  •   the cost is the same no matter how many clients receive the e-magazine
  •
  •   printed copies are available for those whose clients prefer hard copy.

David Thompson, managing director, AXA Wealth UK Distributors, said: “From our work with advisers we appreciate the importance of continued communication with their customers to building a successful business. The Pro E-Newsletter provides a solution that will reflect the attitude and style of each business, with high-quality content custom-made to meet the needs of individual advisers, without creating additional pressure on their time.”

The Pro E-Newsletter Service is currently piloting with IFAs and is set to launch to the whole-of-market at the beginning of next year.
