Lifestyle Article - JLT appoint Harry Harper as Head of Buy in/Buy out Services

Harry Harper has been appointed as Head of Buy in/ Buy out services for the Investment Consulting business for JLT Employee Benefits. Harry will look to further develop JLT’s specialist buy in/buy out services to both new and existing JLT clients.

Prior to joining JLT, Harry worked for Mercer for 19 years and was head of their buy out/de-risking team based in Manchester. Whilst there, he led many of their prominent bulk annuity exercises and worked on a large number of complex transactions including the first ever auction for a pension scheme buyout. Harry has a great deal of experience dealing with longevity swaps, winding-up schemes - both in a solvent as well as an insolvent position - and has undertaken numerous de-risking exercises for clients.

Prior to joining Mercer, Harry worked in the insurance sector.

Bala Viswanathan, CEO of JLT Employee Benefits, said: ‘Harry’s depth of specialist knowledge and glowing track record in the de-risking and bulk annuity market, make him an excellent fit with our client-centric specialist culture. I am delighted to welcome him to our team where I know that his experience and knowledge of the sector will help us strengthen our offering to new and existing clients.’
