Articles - JLT Employee Benefits appoints Teresa Beach as COO

 JLT Employee Benefits has announced the appointment of Teresa Beach as Chief Operating Officer (COO) as part of the implementation of a new approach within the business designed to further enhance client service levels. The new approach, following an internal strategic review, puts in place a management structure that will help facilitate JLT EB’s ambitious growth plans.

 Teresa has more than 21 years’ experience in operations gained across a wide range of sectors, including insurance, telecoms, engineering and the public sector. She joins from Amey, a large UK-based public service and infrastructure management business, which she joined in May 2013 as Interim Solutions Director. Prior to this, Teresa spent just under four and a half years at insurer Catlin, first as Head of Business Transformation, and then as Group Head of Business Change; and eleven years at PA Consulting Group, a specialist in management and IT advice, technology and innovation, where she was elected to Partner. She started her career with Atkins for which she worked as a Consultant civil engineer for five years.

 Teresa’s appointment, effective on January 1, 2014, comes as JLT EB implements a new management structure, which focuses on developing closer direct relationships with its clients. Under the new structure:

 • Malcolm Reynolds, Managing Director, will become responsible for existing client relationships across key products and services, including Auto-enrolment Consulting, BenPal, DB/DC Administration, Health, Risk & Wellbeing Consulting, Trustee and Corporate Consulting;
 • Peter Ball, Managing Director, takes additional responsibility for a newly-formed New Business division, the mandate of which will be to prospect for new clients across all product areas. Peter will continue to lead the highly successful Investment business, which includes the JLT Investment Platform.
 Further to these changes:
 • Richard Roper, Managing Director, will be taking up a new international role from January 2014 in JLT Asia, as Regional Director for Sales and Marketing reporting to Duncan Howorth, CEO of JLT Asia;
 • Jennifer Yates, Operations Director, will be moving to Canada to head up JLT’s EB business there from the beginning of November 2013.

 Mark Wood, Chief Executive, JLT Employee Benefits, comments: “We are expanding rapidly. The organisational changes announced today reflect that more and more of our relationships with clients extend across several products and services. Malcolm and Peter both take expanded roles, and of course I am delighted to welcome Teresa Beach, whose impressive track record of sustained performance improvement and change delivery will be a tremendous asset for our business.”

 Teresa Beach, COO, JLT Employee Benefits, comments: “This is a particularly exciting time to be joining JLT Employee Benefits. Over recent years the business has firmly established itself as one of the leading players in the pensions consultancy market and, with our new structure positioning us well for the next phase of our growth, I look forward to making a significant contribution to this effort.”

 The appointment of Teresa Beach is subject to formal regulatory approvals.
