Lifestyle Article - JLT Specialty expands their European Cyber Practice

JLT Specialty (JLT), the specialist insurance broker and risk consultant, has appointed four new members to its European Cyber practice based in London and Stockholm. The senior appointments represent the latest in a series of major hires which significantly expand JLT’s European Cyber practice.

Monica Tigleanu joins JLT as a Partner from Beazley and prior to this she was a Senior Underwriter in Cyber Risk at AIG. As a certified Information Privacy Professional, she has a wealth of experience of handling issues around information security and privacy.

Claire Davey joins as a Partner from Marsh, where she was Assistant Vice President in Technology E&O and Cyber Liability, and prior to this a broker at Aon where she was primarily responsible for Professional Indemnity insurance. Claire will focus on growing JLT’s European retail presence.

Anthony Herring joins as a broker in the European Cyber Team and will be based in Stockholm. Anthony was previously a Cyber Practice Leader in Sweden for Aon, and has extensive experience in property insurance bringing a new perspective to business interruption to JLT’s cyber team clients.

Jack Elliott-Frey joins from Aon Risk Solutions, where he was a Cyber Broker. Prior to this he worked for cyber insurance broker Safeonline.

These new appointments follow the appointment of Sjaak Schouteren as a Partner based in Rotterdam, leading client education and business expansion across Europe earlier this year. JLT’s Cyber practice collaborates with clients in a range of industries to identify key cyber risks and create innovative insurance solutions to address them.

Sarah Stephens, Partner and Head of Cyber at JLT Specialty, said: ‘Modern and constantly evolving online risks require true multi-disciplinary thinking to address effectively and strategically. These welcome additions to our team are the latest demonstration of our commitment to bringing on board highly skilled individuals from diverse backgrounds such as insurance, business intelligence and IT.’

‘Our footprint continues to grow significantly across Europe, where there is clearly heightened awareness of cyber risks due to rising numbers of incidents as well as European cyber and data-related regulatory changes. This latest expansion will help us continue to define innovative solutions for companies in the UK, across Europe and around the globe.’
