 Russell has a broad background in structured finance, investment consulting, capital optimisation, banking and quantitative modelling. Russell spent many years consulting in the FSG practice at Mercer, where he designed and implemented “non-cash” solutions for pension schemes, and was also head of insurance investment consulting.

 Tom Ground, Head of Legal & General's Bulk Annuities & Longevity Insurance business said: “Russell joins the team at an exciting time as we are expecting to see further growth in the Bulk Annuity and Longevity de-risking market over the rest of this year and into 2016.
