Legal & General offshore bond announces 7IM as a new platform distribution partner

Legal & General International (Ireland) has announced that customers who wish to invest in an International Portfolio Bond will now be able to hold their investments on the Seven Investment Management Platform.

7IM is recognised as one of the industry's innovators in the provision of investment services and developed one of the first wrap platforms in the UK.

Tom Sheridan, CEO Seven investment Management said: "We have seen strong demand from advisers for in specie transfers into offshore bonds in recent months as it makes sense for clients. We are pleased to be working with Legal & General in this growth area."

Danny Wynn, Director, Platforms and Policy at Legal & General commented: "Last year our Offshore Bond saw record growth of 463%. We are also seeing increasing use of offshore investment plans as supplementary asset accumulation vehicles for retirement by HNW clients.

We are delighted to be working with 7IM and their clients.  It is a great opportunity to work with another strong platform to widen investment choice for our customers.

As we approach RDR we expect that our customers will increasingly want to access our products via platforms and visa versa."
