Xuber has released a major upgrade for Brokasure Enterprise, its software for brokers. The new version - the largest upgrade ever developed for the product - has been successfully implemented by key brokers Lockton, RFIB and Towers Watson.
The upgrade, available to all Brokasure Enterprise customers, also incorporates rich new functionality to support brokers with an international reach. This includes allowing customers to run separate accounts in different geographical areas as well as separate trial balances within the same ledger. This is the first product release which allows the broking “front-end” components to be directly deployed on a browser using Oracle's latest web forms technology.
The release is a result of Xuber investment in collaboration with the Brokasure User Group (BUG), a forum for users that collectively invest in the continual enrichment of the platform. Xuber developed the upgrade in close partnership with the industry, with a view to ensuring that Brokasure continues to support both current and future market initiatives.
The release has been welcomed by existing clients and members of BUG. In a recent case study, Mark Kinsella, Head of Information Systems and Services at RFIB, commented that "The ability to have a direct input into the configurability of Brokasure is invaluable to us; through the user group, we work with our peers in other insurance brokers to drive collective advantage for the insurance sector as a whole".
In a separate case study Chris Wheeler, Head of IT for Lockton, stated that "Overseas growth is central to Lockton's business strategy. It's imperative that Xuber supports territorial variations such as multi-currencies across different lines of business and enables fast product-to-market timescales".
Adrian Morgan, Head of Xuber, comments, "We are delighted to announce the completion of what is the biggest and best release ever developed for the Brokasure Enterprise product, the result of over 20,000 man-hours of effort.
The world of broking is now truly global, transcending borders, currencies and local regimes; we believe that the new Brokasure Enterprise software addresses this reality head on, improving processes and affording clients the ability to bring products to market faster than ever before."
The new release brings Brokasure Enterprise to version 13.1. The next major release (13.2) is due Spring 2013.
The upgrade follows the re-launch of Xchanging's insurance software business as 'Xuber' in October, the culmination of a £20 million plus investment in the development of a next-generation suite of commercial insurance software, in addition to substantial expansion of the company’s marketing and sales.
