Head of Operations at Redmayne Bentley discusses how firm has safeguarded FSA compliance

Document management software specialist, Invu, is hosting a seminar in London - aboard HMS Belfast – in which the Head of Operations at Redmayne Bentley, Tim Archer, will highlight the issues facing stockbrokers and wealth management companies in managing compliance & ensuring that they meet FSA requirements.

Two seminars will be held on the morning of Wednesday, 28 September 2011 and will feature Redmayne Bentley’s Tim Archer, who co-chairs the APCIMS Operations Committee Tim will explain his firms’ concerns over regulatory responsibilities and give a frank assessment of Invu’s capabilities and experience since adopting the Invu software.

Redmayne Bentley is one of the leading independent stockbrokers in the UK, with over 30 branches nationwide. The firm implemented the Invu software in order to meet FSA compliance obligations and to reduce costs while improving client services through better access to client and transaction information.

Redmayne Benley is not alone in experiencing cost savings and greater efficiency through the use of the Invu software, Vestra Wealth Management has also benefited from the solution. The firm is a partnership established to provide customised financial advice across all asset classes and has introduced Invu for document and information storage. The Invu software has enabled Vestra to meet their compliance requirements while making savings of £135,000 in running costs.

The event will provide visitors with networking opportunities, allowing attendees to keep up to date with changes within the industry and broaden their knowledge of compliance and the potential benefits and cost savings which deploying a document management system could bring to an organisation. The event also offers attendees the opportunity to be one of the first to witness the latest in Vision for Records Compliance and the integrated Anti-Money-Laundering tools from Invu.

Mark Palmer, Director of Products and Marketing for Invu comments, “FSA Regulation and compliance is an area which many in the wealth management industry know to be notoriously fraught when it comes to the retention of files and all client communication. Many know that it is critical that they keep all such documents, yet they are also relying on the manual process of paper-based files, a system which is not only unreliable but also makes it difficult in locating client details. We hope to demonstrate through our ‘live customers’ the effectiveness and ease of compliance that a document management system can bring to a financial organisation.”

Palmer concludes, “The seminar will also provide attendees with valuable networking opportunities alongside the chance to discuss issues and trends within the industry. All in all we feel that the event will be extremely beneficial to anyone who is concerned about FSA compliance and the risk attached to it.”
