General Insurance Article - Mazars awarded new accreditation from the IFoA

Mazars is pleased to announce that it has been awarded full accreditation for the newly launched Quality Assurance Scheme (QAS) from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA).

The QAS is a voluntary accreditation scheme for organisations that employ one or more members of the IFoA. In order to obtain QAS status Mazars had to demonstrate their commitment to assurance of the quality of actuarial work and comply with the standard APS QA1. The suitability for QAS status was then assessed by an independent assessment team and determined by the QAS Sub Committee on the basis of that assessment.

The QAS accreditation is for all of Mazars actuarial team, who are London based.

Tom Ashmore, Manager, Mazars: “This is the first time the QAS has ever been awarded and we are one of the first of a number of ‘trail blazing’ companies that have successfully achieved the accreditation. We believe the QAS demonstrates to our clients the high levels and standards that they can expect when working with Mazars.”

Tim Bateman, Partner, Mazars, added: “We are pleased that the quality we aspire to has been recognised by an external organisation such as the IFoA. It is a recognition of the standards and approaches taken by our whole team and should give our clients increased confidence in the quality of our work with them.”
