 Oslo, 29 February 2012
Mercer announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Pensjon & Finans, a leading Norwegian-based financial investment and pension consulting firm. The transaction strengthens Mercer’s position as a leader in provision of pensions and investment advice in the Nordics and gives Pensions & Finans’ clients access to Mercer’s broad range of services and global capabilities.

Pensjon & Finans has a solid market share in Norway’s institutional market both across the public and private sector. The firm was established in 1997. Espen Kløw, CEO of Pensjon & Finans, now takes up the role as Head of Mercer Investment Consulting in Norway.

“Mercer is committed to the Nordic investment business and is expanding its business at a time when clients are demanding greater resources and depth of expertise from their consultants,” said Nicolai Berg, Head of Mercer’s Nordic Investments business. “Pensjon & Finans has an excellent reputation and strong relationships with its clients in the Norwegian market. The combination of the two firms allows us to provide even more services for our clients and greater opportunities for our employees.”

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
