Pensions - Articles - MetLife's Wayne Daniel appointed PPI Governor

MetLife Assurance Chief Executive Officer Wayne Daniel has accepted an invitation to become a Governor of the Pensions Policy Institute (PPI), the leading educational charity focusing on non-political analysis and comment on pensions and retirement income provision in the UK.

He takes up the role in a personal capacity from today’s Annual General Meeting of the PPI Council after being invited to join by PPI Chairman Michael Pomery.

His appointment is part of the PPI’s commitment to ensure its work has the widest possible support across the whole range of interests in pensions and retirement income provision.

Wayne Daniel, Chief Executive Officer at MetLife Assurance said: “The PPI is widely respected across the pensions industry and its research papers make a major contribution to understanding the challenges faced. I look forward to serving as a Governor.”

PPI Governors are the voting members of the company responsible for helping to ensure the organisation’s independence and impartiality. Individual Governors also assist with peer-reviewing research papers, chairing meetings, helping to secure funding for research and other activities associated with furthering the PPI’s charitable objective.
