L, C, A Article - National App Week- Real- time Stock Tracker Reviewed

Here, Michael Banks of Corporate Group takes us through Real-time Stock Tracker.

 What does it do?:
Real-time Stock Tracker offers free streaming of live quotes, pre-market/after-hour quotes, portfolio monitoring, advanced full screen chart, push notification based alerts, economic news, event/earnings calendar, market signal scans and more. The paper-trade feature allows users to practice trading skills and strategy by trading fictional US stocks and ETF in a life-like trading environment. The app includes watch lists and real time quotes, market single scans, stock details, option chain, charts, portfolio tracker, alerts, exchange supported, news and economic events.

 What’s good about it?:
The navigation’s smooth and easy on the eye. There’s an option to remove adverts permanently which is rare for a free app. Users can sync the app with other iOS devices and backup and restore with iCloud. There’s an option to enter and set a passcode for increased security and you can modify the app by building your own portfolio, including imports from Google and Yahoo portfolios. The financial news feed keeps you up to date. An earnings and advents calendar is included, and the FAQ section is handy. You can also share information via social media, email and text message.

 What’s bad about it?:
Payment ($2.99) is required to permanently remove adverts, which is a bit cheeky but it’s nice to have the option.

 Score: 9 /10

 Verdict:
This is a superb app for those working in or involved in the financial industry. The 11 free games are a nice touch.
Real-time Stock Tracker is available for free on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. The full version costs $6.99, push alerts are $2.99, advanced chart costs $2.99.
