Pensions - Articles - New website launched to help advisers become NEST experts

NEST has re-launched the adviser section of its public website, including dedicated resources for advisers and regular thought pieces from industry experts, to help advisers become NEST experts.

On the site advisers can find guides on NEST’s delegated access function, a synopsis of the NEST investment approach, the latest fund factsheets and other tools to help advisers navigate automatic enrolment for their clients. Through delegated access, advisers can help set up and manage automatic enrolment duties for their clients with the employer setting the level of access that the adviser has.

NEST news and views will include regular thought pieces from respected industry commentators, within and external of NEST. Launching the site is Martin Freeman of JLT, explaining the upcoming challenges for the market and giving a school report on the first year of automatic enrolment.

Roy Porter, market engagement director at NEST, said: ‘Over the past year we’ve seen more and more advisers engage with NEST and our research suggests a large number of employers coming towards their staging date will be looking for advice and support, so there is a significant potential market for advisers.

‘Our recent webinars were attended by hundreds of advisers keen to see the opportunities available with automatic enrolment – and this website is another tool for them to use.

‘Advisers are telling us that they want to find out more about how to use NEST because they expect many of their clients to use us for at least some of their workers. NEST has been designed specifically for automatic enrolment and with our public service obligation advisers can be confident that if an employer wants to use NEST we will say yes.’
