Lifestyle Latest News - Nightlife this weekend - London

Time to try some other not so well known bars as the sun sinks over the yard-arm. One such great bar either before and/or after your evening meal and one of the best cocktail bars around is the brilliantly named Worship Street Whistling Shop. Recently nominated for Best New bar in the World no less and Best Coktail offering. Dickensian and a mad scientists laboratory teamed with amazing staff make this a must visit bar.

We quite like the way the Mandarin produced our burger earlier today and for dinner try Dinner by Heston Blumenthal. It's not actually by the man himself but rather under the auspices of Ashley Palmer-Watts the executive head chef of the Fat Duck group, nonetheless it is still great food but not outlandish, not a whiff of dry ice to be seen, cucumber ketchup notwithstanding. Excellent and not overly pricey.

Bob Bob Ricard. Glamorous Art Deco all-booth dining room showcases some really quite delicious meals. Our recommendation is their Beef Wellington for two, not the soggy excuse some restaurants serve up, also try the Rhubarb Gin & Tonic

Alternatively, lets head for slightly more eclectic shores with a visit to Kopapa based in Covent Garden will find you knee deep in some, quite frankly, extraordinary plates of food. For example Fried Tofu envelopes filled with piquant spiced dahl before deep frying in tempura batter teamed up with deep fried plaintain. Tasted great though
Dinings for the best in contemporary Japanese cooking, wagyu beef, wow or try the fabulous mini tacos stuffed with crabmeat, scallop, salmon and tuna. Awesome Georgian townhouse and the food is equally awe inspiring.
Late, tired, full but ready to at least carry on for a nightcap here are a few choices that may tempt you into late night revelry

69 Colebrook Row. Nope no name just the number but amazing cocktails for instance they even use Transylvanian pollen in one of their unique concotions

Marks Bar at HIX. In the basement of Mark Hix's latest in Soho the bar is open to 1Pm and has a club feel to it with low zinc bar and battered chesterfields, even an old bar billiards table, and provides some of the most original drinks around. Not to be missed.

Le Bar de Joel Robuchon. Le Salon is a dark den of iniquity of cocktails and the home of the best mojito made with Pyrat Pistol rum. They even, if the night is warm, opened up the terrace.
