With over 500,000 companies due to introduce pensions for their staff in 2016 and 1.8 million firms still to comply with the legislation, NOW: Pensions is already seeing a huge increase in demand for its services.
Research* NOW: Pensions recently conducted with small and micro firms revealed one in five (20%) small firms haven’t given any thought to auto enrolment but a staggering 75% of micro firms (employing between 1 and 5 people) admitted they haven’t thought about it.
To ensure that these employers receive the help they need, NOW: Pensions has increased its contact centre capacity significantly by opening in Nottingham and is creating 250 new jobs over the next two years, many of which are in front line client support.
For launch, NOW: Pensions has appointed 30 people covering HR, IT, client support and telesales who are currently undertaking a period of in-depth training.
Additional and ongoing support for recruitment is being provided by the Nottingham Jobs Hub, which is operated by Nottingham City Council.
Morten Nilsson, CEO of NOW: Pensions said: “The Nottingham opening marks an exciting step in NOW: Pensions’ growth in the UK. The new office looks fantastic and it’s great to finally start welcoming new staff through the doors.
“With 1.8 million small companies still to tackle auto enrolment, demand for our services looks set to soar. These firms need considerable help and our new team in Nottingham will play an integral role supporting clients with the introduction of their schemes and on an ongoing basis.”
“We’ve been impressed with the experience of staff in the City and the support offered through Invest in Nottingham and Nottingham City Council. We can’t wait to get started. ”
Kelly Shergold, HR Business Partner for NOW: Pensions in Nottingham and one of the company’s first appointments said: “It’s rare to get an opportunity to be part of a company from its beginnings. NOW: Pensions is bringing some fantastic opportunities to the City and I’m looking forward to watching it grow and develop.”
Councillor Nick McDonald, Nottingham City Council Portfolio Holder for Jobs, growth and transport, said: “I’m really pleased that such a prestigious and internationally renowned business as NOW: Pensions is establishing a base in Nottingham.
“The City has a great reputation in the financial services sector and has some of the most innovative businesses working in the field today. The arrival of NOW: Pensions will only further enhance the city’s standing in this sector.
“Nottingham’s massive ongoing investment in infrastructure, the skills we have in the city and the cost effectiveness of locating here are ideal for businesses.
“By working with new businesses seeking to locate to the city, the council can ensure that local people are benefiting from jobs created here, and I can’t wait to meet some of NOW: Pensions’ new recruits who came through the Council’s Jobs Hub.”
