Pensions - Articles - PASA announces Board election results

The Pensions Administration Standards Association (PASA), the independent body dedicated to driving up standards in pensions administration, today announced the results of the recent elections - with Girish Menezes, Tracy Weller and Gary Evans taking places on its Board.

These three candidates were nominated by PASA members as the outstanding choices for the three available Board Director posts, meaning they were duly elected without need for a ballot. Girish Menezes and Tracy Weller will sit on the Board for the first time, whilst Gary Evans has been re-elected for a second term - having served on the Board since 2013. They will join existing Board members Margaret Snowdon OBE, Kim Gubler and Peter Dyer.

Margaret Snowdon, Chairman of PASA, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Tracy and Girish as Board Directors and congratulate Gary on achieving a second term. We feel we have a strong and agile team, combining the skills and experience of our new and existing Board Directors, and I look forward to working with our new colleagues to take PASA forward in achieving our goals of raising pensions administration standards and improving member outcomes. 2016 continues to be an important year for us.”

Girish Menezes is currently head of Pension Administration at KPMG and Chairman of the Pensions Management Institute, London Group. He was part of the original working group who drafted the business case for PASA, and sits on the Policy & Strategy committee. Girish has wide ranging experience in both administration operations and pensions technology with recent projects including an award-winning integrated pensions educational portal, a flexible drawdown solution and an auto enrolment workforce assessment tool. Girish is a regular contributor to the pensions press on administration and technology issues and has a Masters in Management from the London Business School. Girish is an independent member of PASA.

Tracy Weller is Practice Leader at PASA accredited administration provider, Hymans Robertson. She has 25 years pensions industry experience covering pension payroll, client services, systems development and support, project management, pensions management consultancy and operational management roles.

Gary Evans joins PASA for his second term as Board Director, having served on the Board since 2013 and is currently Chair of the Finance Committee. Gary is a Principal at Mercer with responsibility for Client Development of Pension Administration clients. During Gary’s career, he has experience of working both in-house and for third party administrators, and in the selection and implementation of administration and systems providers as well as Pension Process review. Gary has an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from St Edmund Hall, Oxford and is an Associate of the Pensions Management Institute.
