Pensions - Articles - PPF 7800 Index Update


The PPF 7800 Index has been updated to the end of August 2015.

 Highlights include:
 
 • The aggregate deficit of the 6,057 schemes in the PPF 7800 index is estimated to have increased over the month to £280.4 billion at the end of August 2015, from a deficit of £254.2 billion at the end of July 2015.
 • The funding ratio deteriorated from 83.2 per cent to 81.6 per cent.
 • Total assets were £1,239.5 billion and total liabilities were £1,519.9 billion.
 • There were 4,998 schemes in deficit and 1,059 schemes in surplus.
