Nikesh joins PwC from BlackRock, where he managed the relationships with some of BlackRock’s largest institutional pension fund clients. In his new role, Nikesh will advise corporate sponsors and trustees on risk and investment strategies for their defined benefit pension funds.
Nikesh joins PwC at a time of growth for its pensions investment advisory business, while new developments to Skyval, PwC’s online analytics tool, means users now have the ability to perform more detailed analysis for their pensions investment strategy.
Raj Mody, head of UK pensions consulting at PwC, said:
“Our pensions consulting business continues to record rapid double-digit growth year on year and Nikesh is another great addition to our growing team. The current low interest rate and investment returns environment means pension schemes are having to work harder than ever to drive value from their asset mix and improve funding levels, and they need an innovative, independent and forward-thinking adviser to help them do this. We are finding that trustees and sponsors alike are increasingly looking for a truly independent advice, particularly on matters relating to asset investment strategy.”
