 Royal London Asset Management (RLAM), one of the UK’s leading fund management companies, today announces the appointment of Richard Marwood as Senior Fund Manager. Richard will report directly to Piers Hillier, RLAM’s Chief Investment Officer.

 Richard will work closely with RLAM’s equities team, including Martin Cholwill, UK Equity Income fund manager, who he worked with previously. RLAM will look closely at potential fund opportunities playing to Richard’s strengths.

 Currently, Royal London Asset Management’s equities team has £27.3bn of assets under management, with £17.5bn in UK equities.

 Richard joins Royal London Asset Management from AXA Investment Management where, throughout his twenty year tenure, he ran a diverse range of funds focused on both UK equities and multi asset portfolios. Richard graduated from Lincoln College, Oxford, with a D.Phil in Aerodynamic engineering.

 Piers Hillier, Chief Investment Officer, commented: “Richard is a key hire for Royal London Asset Management’s equity team. Richard’s strong history of managing equities across a range of market conditions will be valuable for RLAM and its clientsas we continue to build out our offering in this area.”
