General Insurance Article - SPVIE’s P&C boosts SME offering by choosing Partner Re

The SPVIE group is bolstering its services for small and medium businesses by expanding its Professional Liability insurance offering to include real estate agents, IT companies and service providers.

The P&C division of the SPVIE group has signed a three year strategic partnership with PartnerRe Wholesale, the specialist SME division of global reinsurer PartnerRe Ltd, as it expands its offering for SME businesses.

PartnerRe Wholesale will provide customised partner products and services, specifically designed for SMEs. These will be tailored for the market with clear and digestible policies aimed at a broad audience, and will include a combined cover for real estate agents.

The insured will also be able to get legal protection insurance that meets the specific needs of each professional activity.

The agreement is timed with the launch of PACES, PartnerRe Wholesale’s new unique online solution. This will allow SPVIE P&C’s platform to provide its insurance broker partners with the opportunity to quote and to bind insurance contracts online more quickly and efficiently. For example, only seven questions are required to underwrite a Professional Liability insurance.

As France is Europe’s champion in terms of compulsory insurance and the Professsional Liability market is growing rapidly, the two companies believe that the time is right to form a strategic partnership, especially as France has 3.2 million SMEs, i.e. 99.9% of all companies, which together account for 52% of employment.

Established in 2010, the SPVIE group was named "French Broker Entrepreneur of the Year" by industry professionals, and showcases a rapid growth, going over 200% per year. It is now one of the most promising firms in the market.

Ronny Sebag and Artus Pironneau, Directors of the SPVIE P&C division, commented on the partnership:
"This partnership marks an important step in the development of the SME services of SPVIE Group’s P&C division. Indeed, the combination of our expertise and network with PartnerRe Wholesale’s specialised tools and overall capacity is a significant milestone. We can now diversify our offering and seize the opportunities of the SME market better - and hence meet the growing demand that is currently stemming from it."

"We are very confident in our chances of success: this partnership is based on the synergy between the quality of our offer, our unique approach to the PI market, the dynamism of SPVIE and the strength of its network. The world of professions and services is constantly changing and evolving. Therefore we have together developed a tailored offering aimed at responding to the associated insurance needs in the most appropriate way." adds Valerie Baucher, Director of PartnerRe Wholesale France.
