Stamford Associates appoints Wendy Mayall as Managing Director and Head of Strategy

Investment consultant Stamford Associates has appointed Wendy Mayall, previously Chief Investment Officer at the Unilever Pension Fund, as Managing Director and Head of Strategy.
Wendy Mayall is rejoining Stamford Associates, having worked for the firm from 1984 to 1994. One of the leading figures in the pensions and investment sectors, she has spent the last sixteen years as CIO at Unilever. In the new role of Managing Director and Head of Strategy at Stamford Associates, Ms Mayall will work to enhance the firm’s services to new and existing clients.

 Wendy Mayall said:
“I am delighted to be returning to Stamford Associates.  Stamford Associates has a top quality research capability and very distinctive expertise combined with strong client service, which provides a solid platform on which to build the business.  I look forward to taking the business forward with Nathan Gelber and Sir Mark Weinberg, supported by a strong team, developing the strategy and moving to the next stage of growth.”

Roger Cobley, Chairman of Stamford Associates, commented on the appointment:

“I am very pleased Wendy Mayall is taking on  this new leadership position at Stamford Associates, after a long and distinguished career at Unilever Pensions.  A key part of her role will be to focus on how we can further enhance our services to our clients.  Her arrival is also the catalyst for Stamford Associates to extend its business on a selective basis. We believe this impetus should help the firm attract more top talent to provide additional value to all our clients.”

Stamford Associates appointed Sir Mark Weinberg as Senior Adviser in April 2011.
