 Mikhail Zverev is promoted after managing the Global Equity Unconstrained Fund since 2010

 Mikhail Zverev has been appointed as Standard Life Investments new head of global equities.

 Zverev, who has been with Standard Life since 2007, has managed Standard Life Investments’ Global Equity Unconstrained Fund since July 2010.

 He brings 14 years experience to his new Edinburgh-based role, having previously worked with First State Investments, Schroder Salmon Smith Barney (Citigroup) and Trigon Capital.

 Zverev has a BSc in Physics from St Petersburg State Technical University and an MSc in Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics.

 Commenting on the appointment, David Cumming, head of equities at Standard Life Investments, said: “We are delighted to announce Mikhail’s promotion to head of global equities.

 “Since Mikhail joined Standard Life Investments in 2007 he has proved himself as an excellent fund manager and investor, as well as building a strong individual performance track record in managing global equities.

 “His appointment will ensure continuity and stability in terms of the delivery of our investment process and superior investment performance.

 “I am confident that he will provide effective leadership for the global equity team.”
