![]() Stars of the Future 2023 nominations are closing today at 9PM. Stars of the Future, recognises the new up and coming talent emerging within the actuarial industry. After a month of nominating, the candidates with the most nominations are short-listed, voting then opens. All short-listed nominees will be recognised in the Stars of the Future issue of our magazine, out in November. Featuring interviews with the top 3 candidates, and the winner appearing on the front cover. |
The winner will grace the cover of our winners magazine and two runners-up will also receive an award and all finalists are celebrated. Who do you think has worked exceptionally hard this year or achieved something great? Who do you think will be making an impact on the market in five years time. Richard Foulds, Associate Director from our sponsor Star Actuarial Futures said: It’s a privilege to again sponsor the Actuarial Post Stars of the Future Awards. The awards recognise and highlight the impact and achievements of rising talent in our industry. Future leaders who are already making their mark on the actuarial profession. Star Actuarial Futures started sponsoring this award 9 years ago, and it’s not an understatement to say that the profession has changed significantly in that time. The global Covid pandemic has changed the working world in a way that nobody would have predicted. Many of us now work in a virtual workplace, where face to face meetings and interviews have been replaced by video calls, and handshakes replaced with a chorus of “you’re on mute”. Actuaries are now able to consider working for firms that previously would have been too far for a daily commute, and both employers and employees have access to a wider range of options – particularly beneficial to firms in ‘the regions’....
