Devitt will work across all areas of Willis Towers Watson’s Global Services and Solutions consultancy team, but he also has specialist expertise in employee benefit captive consulting, an area in which Willis Towers Watson has grown to become the largest global adviser.
Employee Benefit Captives help companies protect themselves against the rising cost of providing employee benefits and Willis Towers Watson has established itself as the global leader in this area advising on the assessment, setup and ongoing support of over three-quarters of the world’s employee benefit captive vehicles.
Mark Cook, director in Willis Towers Watson’s Global Services and Solutions team, said: “We are delighted to welcome Paul into our Global Services and Solutions team, which has led the way in employee benefit captive consulting for many years now. Paul’s expertise in this area, as well as in wider global benefit consulting, will be invaluable in continuing to grow this area of the business as more clients start to explore and implement captive insurance vehicles for employee benefits as part of a wider integrated risk management program.
“It is an area that is growing fast as more and more companies look to leverage their scale to manage and contain the cost of some employee benefits. Our clients’ priority is to protect the benefits they offer employees and captive vehicles help them to do this in a cost efficient and managed way.”
Paul Devitt, Director in Willis Towers Watson’s Global Services and Solutions practice, said: “Willis Towers Watson has long been the leader in employee benefit so I’m delighted to be joining such an established and experienced team of consultants. The structure of the Global Services and Solutions team is also very enticing as it allows consultants to help clients on a wide range of workforce and risk issues that they are facing at a global level. From the application of EU accounting legislation to the implementation of employee benefit captives, the ever more international nature of business throws up complexity and challenges that organisations need to overcome.”
Devitt joined Willis Towers Watson on 21st August 2017.
