Lifestyle Article - Willis Towers Watson appoints Colin Forrest

Willis Towers Watson has appointed Colin Forrest to lead its Life team in the UK. This follows a number of recent appointments including Matthew Ford, Gary Williams, Steve Hardwick, Heloise Rossouw and Marcus Bowser, as the company continues to enhance its presence and impact across the insurance markets in the UK and globally.

Colin has over 25 years of industry experience and joins Willis Towers Watson from Deloitte, where he most recently was the Partner leading the firm’s Swiss actuarial practice in Zurich. During his five years at Deloitte, he also created and managed the Predictive Analytics team, providing analytics modelling services across a range of industries. Previously, he was a Director in the Actuarial & Insurance Management Solutions practice at PwC, as well as holding a variety of senior roles at Royal Liver and Guardian Royal Exchange / Aegon.

Colin’s UK and international expertise in the insurance sector will be a significant asset in this senior-client facing role. In his new London-based role, he will lead and further develop new strategies to ensure life insurers have access to bespoke products and services that reflect their individual needs, as the sector continues to face a volatile risk environment, exacerbated by regulatory change, a modest global growth outlook and persistently low interest rates.

Claire Farrelly, RCS EMEA Life Sales & Practice Leader for Willis Towers Watson, said: “Our team and clients will benefit enormously from Colin’s appointment. The wealth of knowledge and experience he brings will be a real asset to the UK Life business and his expertise will be vital in providing the business solutions being sought by our clients, which have rapidly evolved in recent years.”

Colin Forrest said: “I am excited to be joining Willis Towers Watson’s UK Life team, which already has a strong base and is highly regarded throughout the industry. The life insurance landscape is evolving rapidly and I look forward to working with our clients to help them adapt, re-shape their businesses and identify opportunities for profitable growth during these challenging times.”
