Lifestyle Article - WTW appoints new Office Retirement Leaders

WTW’s UK Retirement business has appointed Katherine Russell and Neil Tooth as Office Retirement Leaders in Bristol and Birmingham, respectively.

In their new roles, Russell and Tooth are responsible for leading the local Retirement teams in providing consulting services to corporate and trustee clients, while fostering a strong sense of community and inspiring growth and development within the team. They are accountable for the delivery of services to clients, as well as people management, commercial development and the financial results of the team.

Katherine Russell joined WTW’s Bristol office in 2009 as a senior consultant. Specialising in bulk annuity transactions for defined benefit pension schemes, she has led some of the largest de-risking transactions over the past decade.

Neil Tooth also joined WTW 14 years ago as an Actuarial Consultant. Now a Senior Director in the business, Neil specialises in advising WTW’s pension scheme trustee clients, advising schemes which range between c.£30m and c.£13bn and has also recently led some large GMP equalisation exercises.

Rash Bhabra, Head of Retirement for Great Britain, WTW, said: “I’m incredibly proud of the contribution that both Katherine and Neil have made to our Retirement business in the UK. They have shown themselves to be leaders in this business, so I am delighted to be able to put their skills and experience to good use, leading two very important regional teams.”

Katherine Russell, Office Retirement Leader for Bristol, WTW, said: “I’m thrilled to have been given the opportunity to lead our Retirement business in Bristol. One of the biggest benefits to working for WTW is the strength of our Retirement business and its clients in all parts of the country. This brings with it fantastic opportunities for growth and professional development.”

Neil Tooth, Office Retirement Leader for Birmingham, WTW, said: “WTW Birmingham is a fantastic, vibrant place to work. We have a strong culture and deep sense of community which I have found to be an incredibly supportive environment to work in. I’m very excited to have the opportunity to lead our team of talented consultants in this part of the country.”
