Lifestyle Article - Wunelli make three senior appointments

In a move to ensure insurers and brokers have the support they need to grow their telematics propositions Wunelli, has made a series of high level appointments, adding a valuable mix of skills to the business at a crucial time in telematics growth.

Charles Moreau has joined in the newly created senior role of Business Development Director. A business development expert in the technology and data sector, Charles joins from Dow Jones where he was Regional Sales Director. He brings sound expertise in bringing new technology and data-based products to market and growing sales revenues. He will focus on working with insurers and brokers to understand their specific needs and will deliver value propositions to support their entry into or existing participation in UBI.

Guy Barbor takes up the role of Client Relationship Manager. Bringing over a decade of experience in the application of telematics solutions in fleets, most recently with Romex and telematics pioneer Cybit Plc (prior to its merger with Masternaut), Guy’s background is in the use of GPS-enabled devices such as smartphones to help reduce risk and cost, and manage legislative compliance. In his new role, Guy will focus on customer development and growth.

Warren Carley has been appointed European Product Manager following seven months as a consultant to the business. A mobile and media expert who has worked for some of the world’s leading mobile communications businesses, supporting key innovations in the sector, Warren will be a key figure in the launch of new service innovations from LexisNexis Risk Solutions designed to reduce cost and increase UBI market penetration.

These senior appointments demonstrate Wunelli’s commitment to serve the needs of insurers and brokers operating in the usage-based insurance product space. Through the development of advanced telematics propositions supported by the UK’s largest teams of data scientists, LexisNexis Risk Solutions is enabling insurance providers to meet the growing demand for behaviour-based policies.

Selim Cavanagh, Vice President Telematics, said, “2017 certainly looks set to be a pivotal year for telematics as we roll out new technologies such as our 12V device to enable insurance providers to extend beyond the young driver market in a swift and cost-effective manner.

“These appointments will ensure we are in the position to capture the intensifying demand for our data analysis expertise and telematics propositions and will help our customers maximise the growing opportunity of the UBI market. Charles, Guy and Warren bring a special combination of skills, understanding the value of telematics data along with the technology and human skills that bring insights and value from this data. We are delighted to attract and have such high calibre individuals on board.”
