Zurich has launched one of the most wide-ranging Corporate Accident and Business Travel propositions in the market. The new product is available for businesses of all sizes, from SMEs through to large multinational corporations.
It's been designed to meet the changing needs of business people who are required to travel more than ever, often to less developed countries. This can mean more frequent exposure to a wider range of risks, including terrorism and political unrest as well as medical and security emergencies.
As a result, companies are under increasing pressure to give their employees as much protection as possible. So, Zurich’s refreshed proposition has international programme (IPZ) capability, which is serviced from six producing countries:
- United States of America
- United Kingdom
- Australia
- Hong Kong
- Singapore
- Switzerland
Local policies can also now be issued in 30 countries around the globe, with the number growing as new territories are researched. Where it is not possible currently to issue local policies, alternative solutions can be designed which are aligned to regulatory law and premium tax requirements.
Corporate Accident cover is designed to pay out if an employee is severely injured or dies in an accident and Business Travel insurance provides insured persons with instant 24/7 access to medical and security experts, 365 days-a-year.
The product includes new and innovative assistance services, including:
• a ‘meet and greet’ provision, where customers travelling to high hazard destinations are met at the airport, escorted to their destination/hotel and briefed along the way on the current security situation within that country
• vehicle breakdown assistance for the journey to and from their airport
• discounted airport lounge access
Crisis PR assistance, medical second opinion and counselling are also covered.
This insurance cover is simple to sign up to and there’s no requirement for medicals. Cover is worldwide and unlike some policies, Zurich does not exclude many hazardous sports and hobbies.
Commenting on the refresh of the proposition, Kieran Morrin, Head of Accident & Health, Zurich said:
"With health and safety legislation increasing, company directors and officers now have additional personal responsibility for their employees.
"By purchasing Corporate Accident and Business Travel insurance, companies demonstrate their commitment to being a responsible employer that has taken precautions to ensure the lifeblood of their business, their employees, are taken care of both at home and abroad.
"Our Corporate Accident & Business Travel proposition draws on our experience and knowledge as an established, truly global insurer. The new international programme capability means we can offer a comprehensive risk solution to businesses of any size, coupled with our traditionally high service standards and the flexibility to react to the constant changes in the global risk landscape”.
Brokers can purchase the product online for SMEs and medium-sized businesses, with a quick quote offered. More details about Corporate Accident and Business Travel Insurance are available at zurich.co.uk/business
